Podiatry

If pelvic instability or tilt is detected on X-ray then a pre-operative referral is made for an assessment (which may include running on a treadmill) and the construction of an individual sports orthotic which will be worn in the footwear to help restore pelvic stability.

It has been found that correcting pelvic instability by a heel raise orthotic makes a significant contribution to complete recovery after surgery.

Podiatrist, Dr Michael Kinchington from the Centre For Podiatric Medicine offers evidence based comprehensive treatment for foot, ankle and lower limb care.
